Ernst & Young performs professional services globally, including auditing, assurance, consulting & tax.
This role is part of Accounting Operations (within Tax Service line), who provides the client with immediate access to an entire accounting function delivering end to end services from transaction processing, accounting, monthly reporting through the statutory and tax cycle.
Role:
This role is expected to Lead Accounting Operate team based in Buenos Aires.
The key deliverables for this role are:
- Lead a team based in GDS Buenos Aires, reporting to Senior Manager.
- Oversee day to day activities from BA team,
composed Seniors and Staffs that include:
- Manual JEs
- Monthly Flash Report
- Financial Result Summary
- CFO Deep Dive Inputs
- FERC reporting
- Close Management
- Become client stakeholders trusted advisor and main point of contact during the transition and after go-live
- Coach junior team members to deliver client on timely and quality manner, becoming a referent for them and leading by example in terms of client communication and team behaviours.
- Interact with other locations such as GDS India and ACR US onshore team to guarantee business model and client support is consistent across locations.
- Monitor operation metrics (KPIs, SLAs) and other metrics defined with client during transition.
Profile:
The ideal candidate should have 8+ years of experience including (a) controllership in a shared services environment, (b) transition & project management to COE’s as well as onto new systems

Finance domain knowledge
- Controllership and Finance experience, including qualification in finance,
has a good understanding of finance operations processes (R2R, B2P, O2C, …)
- Work with Shared Services (captive or outsourced)
- Project / transition knowledge
- Experience of transitioning complex F&A; projects with personal accountability for delivering to time and cost
- Understand and ideally has participated in or led an ERP or other IT tool implementation & understands the different steps in the lifecycle of such a project
- Leadership skills
- Strong communication skills with the courage & integrity to speak candidly & succinctly
- Ability to collaborate across different time zones, cultures & teams
- Excellent analytical skills: ability to quickly assess problems/risks and connect dots
- Deliver high quality materials to relevant stakeholders
- Proactive: challenge the status quo and go beyond own lines of duty
- Ability to manage uncertainty and pivots, “start-up” type of environment without clearly established processes & procedures or fully established support network (e.g. of SME’s, processes to follow etc.)

Supervision Responsibilities:
- Manager is expected to act with minimum supervision from Senior Manager and to deliver to schedule, budget and scope; support provided as required and requested, and is self-driven and motivated
Other Requirements:
- Flexible work schedule will be required
Education & Certification Requirements:
- MBA/CA/ICWA/CFA/Accounting degree or a related discipline; or equivalent work experience
